UC San Diego’s Student Veteran Resource Center (SVRC) is seeking a dynamic, innovative, student-centered individual to advance our commitment and support for military affiliated students on our campus. If you are passionate about supporting military affiliated students to achieve their higher education goals, we encourage you to apply and be our next Program Manager.
About the SVRC: The Student Veteran Resource Center provides holistic support and resources for military affiliated students, including current and former U.S. Military service members, their family members, and ROTC cadets. For fall quarter 2017, this population includes about 450 service members, veterans, and cadets plus more than 1100 military family members, or almost 1600 students combined.
The Program Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the Center, which recruits, retains, and serves undergraduate and graduate veteran students and their families at the University. The Program Manager will initiate and develop new co-curricular veteran programming, assess and revise existing programs; serve as a liaison to various offices across campus and to external and community partners; seek and compose grants for external funding; and supervise student office staff.
